Our Church, Mar Sleeva Syrian Church has a rich heritage of 600 years. It is the first Christian Church in Alappuzha. It is the offspring of Champakkulam Martha Mariam (St.Mary’s) Church. The Christian Community here got strengthened with the passage of time. The Church buildings and its architecture reflect the divinity . Present structure is 200 years old. It is the ever first Parish in Alappuzha and today we have 1248 families as Parishioners. The important mile stones in the history of the Mar Sleeva Forane Church follows;
